The children were all delighted with a surprise visit by the women from Mrs. Tourism International, a group of beauty queens who travel around the world promoting their individual countries. There were lots of requests for photos with their favourite Mrs. Tourism and the ladies were very patient and generous with their time. They gave gifts, including one woman who presented one of our teenagers with a beautiful bracelet.
We are happy to receive guests from the Singapore Mercy Mission group a few times each year and we were delighted to see them again and give them a tour of Sarnelli House. They came with gifts and energy and we look forward to their next visit.
Matthias from Germany came to visit his cousin Lukas and threw himself into all of the activities available. He was very curious about everything going on at Sarnelli House and was a very interesting young man.
Ron Small, from the Save A Child Foundation in the USA has been a generous donor and came to visit Fr. Mike and to see the projects sponsored by his organisation. We are very grateful to Ron for his continued support.
A group from the International Community School in Udon Thani came with parents and teachers for a day of activities with the children. The games were fun and original and the kids loved them. The students also came armed with great questions for Kate about the running of Sarnelli House and it was encouraging to see so many conscientious teenagers.
We also had a lovely visit from a former volunteer, Hannah from Germany. It was lovely to catch up with her. She is a fine young woman and we are proud to be part of her life.
