We continue to be blessed by visits from our many friends and supporters from all over the world. These relationships are very important to the children and the staff. Thank you to everyone who takes the time and bears the cost to come and see us all.
Pia and Max from Redemptorist Volunteer Ministry (RVM) in Bonn arrived for their 10 month volunteer placement. Miko from APO Oberhausen also arrived at the same time. We welcome these three young people from Germany as they embark on their life changing adventure at Sarnelli House.

Ed Schlachter from Kansas and his daughters Lori and Suzanne came to visit. Ed is a friend of many years to Fr. Mike and he and his family are longtime friends and supporters of Sarnelli House, so it was great to reintroduce the ladies to all the children.

Luana Riedi, her husband Ben and son Seb from the UK came to visit. It was the first time being here for Ben and his son and they enjoyed meeting and playing with the children and seeing the fruits of Luana’s many year of sponsorship and support of Sarnelli House.

Nicole from Germany, sister of former volunteer Kitty, came for a month and really embraced the activities and the children. She was much appreciated for her warmth and friendliness. She was willing to do any and all activities and the children had a great time with her.

Angela and Joop from Asians Kidz Support in The Netherlands are regular visitors and friends. On this visit they came and used their artistic talents and painted murals inside and outside the new Sharon Houminer House.

Leon and Henriette from Stichting Vrienden van Sarnelli in the Netherlands visited for a month and put on their French fries party for the children and checked up on their many projects they have sponsored at Sarnelli House. They are great supporters of Fr. Mike and all the staff and everyone is always thrilled to have them here.

Laurence Pian and her friend Miriam from the Jan and Oscar Foundation, Switzerland visited and caught up with the teenagers they sponsor and also checked in the Jan and Oscar House and the girls that live there. Laurence has been supporting Sarnelli House for many years and her visits are always fun.

Virginia Yip and her son Dan from the UK arrived. For Dan it was his first visit to Sarnelli House. He and Virginia were taken to Jomp’s Farm which was named for Virginia’s deceased son to see the progress of the farm.

Fr. Mike also had many visits from his family. His brother and sister, Kevin and Brigid, came to celebrate his birthday. Kevin's daughter, Caitlin, arrived for her regular Christmas visit. Fr. Mike's nephew Michael John and his wife Amy came to check on the progress of the rebuilding work they have sponsored and Michael O'Connor, a cousin, and his wife Janet typically visit twice a year to see the big fella!
