We said a sad farewell to little Titan in May. He was five years old and had battled against very poor health his whole life. Titan was born with severe cerebral palsy, as a result of oxygen deprivation at birth. His birth was an emergency as his teenage mother had had a fall. She had also been a heavy drug user during her pregnancy. Titan was referred to Sarnelli House by the local welfare department and he lived at House of Hope before moving in late 2024 to the new Sharon Houminer House for children living with physical disabilities. He received a lot of love and affection from his house mothers, carers and volunteers and was truly treasured by all. There will be more information about Titan’s story in the current issue of Kate’s newsletter.
