This week marked Thai Mother's Day and homes and schools throughout the land celebrated the unsung heroes of our society. Sarnelli House was no different as the children gathered to pay tribute to and give thanks for their house mothers and other staff. It was a lovely celebration and what is surely a poignant day for all of our kids was a wonderful, raucous and joyous party. It was emotional for a few but the love on show was so evident and the children lined up to tie the wrists of their mothers, and to give them cards and presents. Fr. Mike made his way down the line to tie the mothers' wrists and had a kind and personal tribute for each of them. The children performed new dances, and were then fed with noodle soup and ice-cream. Our house mothers deserve great credit for their devotion to the children. It is not an easy job and they do it with great patience, love and kindness. We are lucky to have them
