The kids returned to school this week after a busy three weeks of holidays. The final event was a big sports day which was preceded by a fantastic Halloween parade. All of the kids love dressing up and the house mothers put tons of effort into themes, costumes and make-up. Judging by some of the outcomes, the horror movie industry have lost out on some true talent.

The children were up before 5am to prepare for their procession along the street of Don Wai before the sports activities began. Any passers-by had to pinch themselves to make sure it wasn't some ghoulish nightmare! The other kids shrieked with laughter at the ghastly outfits and the staff and guests were blown away by the detail and variety of costumes and themes.

The procession ended at the Jospeh and Mary Hall where a ceremony took place before the sports day began. The children reluctantly removed their Halloween costumes so that they could participate in the activities, but the make-up stayed on all day long. The evening finished with a giant barbecue for all of the children, volunteers and staff outside thee hall. It was a memorable day.
