April 2018 visitors

Wang Chamchoy from Chiang Mai and his colleagues from Thai Bev came for a week to teach sewing, art and cooking. They were a great success and the children learnt new skills and had their big brother Wang back with them. Wang is very special to the children of Sarnelli House and we look forward to his next visit.

Karen Miles arrived from the UK for two weeks and she, with her son George, threw themselves into all the activities - especially the sporting ones.

Olivier Vaneeckhout from Belgium volunteered for the first time and made a great contribution. For two weeks he exhausted himself in the heat, keeping the children entertained. Olivier also spent some time with his newly sponsored child. The two hit it off immediately!

Michiel Nieuwenhuijs from the Netherlands arrived for his second stint of volunteering. He was a huge hit with all the children and taught guitar, English and supervised relentless hours of swimming.  Hope to see you again Michiel and good luck in your future studies.

Miranda Liu from China came for her regular visit to see her sponsored child and to help as a volunteer. She was very generous and is a great support to her child. Hurry back Miranda!

Ed Schlacter visited again from the USA. Ed is a regular visitor and friend of Fr Shea’s. He attended the Songkran festivities and hopefully will be back next year.
